Forest Fire Protection
Fire prevention measures were implemented in a 10-acre arboretum plantation established in 2018, as well as in a 14.5-acre plantation along a gas pipeline maintenance service track designed to support native species and wildlife. Additionally, “Do Not Burn Forest” warning signs were installed along the service track to mitigate wildfire risks.

Conducting natural fertilizer making training to promote agroforestry practice adaptable to Climate Change
The Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project is implementing biodiversity conservation and protection and local people's socio-economic development activities for the long-term sustainability of biodiversity.
As an important activity in the implementation of the nature reserve protection and conservation activities, reducing shifting cultivation of uplands, in accordance with the guidelines of the nature reserve management team, "Natural Fertilizer making training to support Agroforestry" was held in Michaunghlaung LOU from February 15th to February 16th, the lecture for 2 days in cooperation with YADANA CSR.
15 community forest user group members from Yaphu, Thatkelkwat, Zinbar-1, Michaunghlaung and Yepone villages in project area joined and U Khin Maung Latt( Community Development Assistant, Yadana CSR) taught both the theory and practice of ways to make natural fertilizer using EM, Fish Amino, Dochetkin.
In order to be able to purchase raw materials necessary to make and use natural fertilizers and to continue teaching secondary courses in their respective villages, the project provided a total of 25 hundred thousand kyats to five (5) groups at the rate of 500,000 kyats per 1 Community Forest user group that attended the training.

Strengthen firefighting capacity through training and providing equipment and facilities
In order to protect and control wild fire, wild fire control training was conducted with demonstration and equipment including battery water spray, plastic water bucket, rake and broom were supported to 20 households from Yaphu, Michaunghlaung, Yepone and Thetkelkwat villages in Jaunary 2024.
Raise awareness of the community about adverse impacts of fire and get them involved in preventing and combating fire outbreaks
In cooperation with Kaleinaung Fire Service Department, education for fire control and hand on practice for wild fire extinguishing or fighting were conducted twice to 20 CF members from Zinbar, Old Michaunghlaung, Yepone and Thetkelkwat in Jaunary 2024.

Distribution of crop seeds and plants for agroforestry
So as to establish and cultivate the agroforestry plantations, distributing saplings to Saw Aeroplane, a resident of the Michaunghlaung Village, and forest tree seedlings, income-generating fruit trees, Elephant foot yam seeds to the local people were conducted. On the (2) acres of land owned by the department in the Michaunghlaung village, a "Demonstration Garden of Elephant foot yam Cultivation" was established, and 3,000 trees were planted in large seedling bags (12" x 15"). A total of (17) frames were planted with (40' x 4') frame after soil preparation.
