PCC and TC Meeting

To ensure timely project implementation aligned with local community needs, enhance staff capacity, and continuously improve monitoring and logistical support, the project has established two committees:

(1) Project Coordinating Committee (PCC) 
(2) Technical Committee (TC)

Additionally, the project consistently implements annual site level staff meetings and monthly operational coordination meetings to ensure effective implementation.

PCC Meetings in 2024-25 fiscal year

The Project Coordination Committee, chaired by the Director-General of the Forest Department, planned to hold two meetings. The first session was successfully conducted on 8 October 2024, where progress updates and future implementation plans were discussed. The remaining meeting for the 2024-2025 fiscal year is scheduled for March 2025.

 

TC Meetings in 2024-25 fiscal year

The Technical Committee planned to hold four meetings during the 2024-25 fiscal year. To date, sessions have been successfully conducted on:17 May 2024, 4 September 2024, 19 November 2024,5 March 2025. The meetings addressed progress reports and technical recommendations for the management and conservation of natural reserve forest, along with discussions to approve future action plans.

 

Site Level Meetings in 2024-25 fiscal year

12- site-level meetings were held with relevant companies and departmental organizations operating within the project area to discuss current challenges encountered during project implementation. These meetings served to:

(1) Identify strengths and weaknesses of ongoing initiatives under the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project 
(2) Develop improvement strategies for enhanced effectiveness

Monthly coordination meetings are conducted to review staff performance, assess completed activities, and plan upcoming project initiatives.
