Capacity Improvement of Project Staffs
To ensure the timely and successful implementation of ongoing activities under the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project, the project focuses on: Annual Capacity Building for Staff (SMART patrol monitoring training, GIS Trainings , Camera trap deployment and wildlife monitoring techniques training) and infrastructure and equipment upgrades (project base facilities,operational vehicles,field equipment).
These initiatives aim to enhance staff expertise and ensure effective workforce management while maintaining high operational standards.

Capacity Improvement of Project Staffs in 2024-25 fiscal year 1
To enhance the technical capacity of project staff, the following training programs were conducted in early 2024:
(1) Remote Sensing & GIS Mapping Training (January 2024)
Format: In-person (theoretical + practical sessions)
Trainer: RS/GIS Section experts from the Planning and Statistics Department
Focus: Geospatial analysis for conservation
(2) Protected Area Management Training (February 2024)
Format: Virtual (via Zoom platform)
Trainers: Specialists from the Forest Department's Director-General Office
Curriculum: Biodiversity conservation frameworks Sustainable management of nature reserves
Additionally, the technical advisory team (Friends of Wildlife - FoW) conducted capacity building training on:
(1) Camera Trap Deployment: Proper installation and maintenance techniques
(2) Database Management: Data entry and processing in conservation databases
(3) Data Assessment: Analyzing and interpreting wildlife monitoring results
