Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project Holds 34 th PCC Meeting

The 34th Project Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting of the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project was held on the morning of April 2, 2026, at the Forest Department’s Director-General’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw, where Dr. Thaung Naing Oo, Director-General, PCC Chairman delivered the opening address. The hybrid session brought together senior officials, including the Deputy Director-General for Policy and Planning, directors, and representatives from partner companies in person, while regional project staff and the Deputy Director of the Tanintharyi Region Forest Department participated via an online platform. Throughout the session, attendees reviewed a documentary video of the 2025–2026 fiscal year’s progress, evaluated the implementation status up to March 2026, and discussed future work plans and budget allocations for the 2026–2027. A key technical highlight included a presentation by Deputy Director Dr. Win Maung Aye regarding the final evaluation of OMP V, leading to a productive exchange where committee members provided strategic guidance and passed official resolutions before the meeting concluded at 12:30 PM.
