Conducting Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation Awareness Talk
Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project successfully hosted a "Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation Awareness Talk" on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event took place at the Thudhamma Dipa Monastery in Zinba Village, Yebyu Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region. The session was led by U Myint Shein, Range Officer , and Daw Ngwe War Aung, Extension Education Staff, who discussed the Project's ongoing efforts in biodiversity conservation and environmental protection within the reserve. Attendees received educational materials, including brochures on subjects such as "Facts about the Tapir," "Reducing Human-Elephant Conflict," and "Dangers of Heavy Metals in Gold Mining." The program also engaged participants with a conservation quiz, where correct answers were rewarded with prizes. A total of 125 people attended the talk, including 7 teachers and 118 Sunday school students.
