Opening of Plant propagation Training to support local people's livelihood development
In order to assist the sustainable socio-economic and livelihood development of the local community, and with the aim that the local community understands the value of the protected area and biodiversity and participates more in the conservation work, the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project (TNRP) conducted a two-day training course on Plant Propagation for Livelihood Development for the local community. The training was held from September 9 to September 10, 2025, at the Environmental Education Center (EEC) in the Myichaung Hlaung sub-station. Under the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project, an external agricultural expert, U Nay Lin Aung, was the instructor. A total of 27 trainees attended from nearby villages in the project area: Yae Pone, Myichaung Hlaung (new village), Myichaung Hlaung (old village), Kalein Aung, and Zin Ba. The training covered both theory and practical application of vegetative plant propagation methods.
