The 35th Project Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting of the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project under the Forest Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, was held at the meeting hall of the Director-General’s Office of the Forest Department on July 24, 2026 (Friday) at 10:00 AM. U Kyaw Zay ya, Director-General of the Forest Department and Chairman of the Project Coordinating Committee, attended the meeting and delivered an opening speech.
The meeting was attended in person by the Deputy Director-General (Policy and Planning), Directors, members of the Project Coordinating Committee from relevant departments and partner companies, and project staff. Meanwhile, project staff from the Assistant Director's Office of the Tanintharyi Region Forest Department and the Park Warden's Office joined the meeting via an online system.
During the meeting, the Park Warden of the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve Project explained the progress of project activities up to June 2026 for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. Following this, the Project Director reported on the implementation status of the decisions made at the 34th PCC meeting, as well as the upcoming project activities and budget allocations for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
Afterwards, the committee members discussed and asked questions regarding the presentations, provided guidance on future project activities, and made necessary decisions. The meeting was successfully concluded at 12:30 PM.
