To protect and conserve the biodiversity within the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve and to study the habitats of its diverse species, area-based patrol inspections (short and long patrols) are carried out monthly from the sub-camps. For the 2025-2026 fiscal year, one long patrol was conducted within the Yaypon Sub-camp area, and two short patrols were conducted in the Mikyaung Hlaung and Kyauk Shat sub-camp areas.
